The LinkedIn plugin shows your Company Page's followers, impressions, clicks, engagement rate, reactions, comments and shares, with a daily chart of one metric you choose.
LinkedIn reports Page numbers 2 days late, so the screen always ends 2 days ago. Followers is the exception. It is the count right now.
Prerequisites
A LinkedIn Company Page where your LinkedIn account is a Super admin
Step 1 - Add the LinkedIn plugin
Inside TRMNL, go to Plugins > LinkedIn.
Step 2 - Connect your LinkedIn account
Click "Connect with LinkedIn". Your browser goes to LinkedIn, where you sign in and approve TRMNL. LinkedIn then sends you back to TRMNL.
Sign in with the account that is a Super admin of the Page. This is the step to get right. A Content admin or Analyst account connects without an error, but its Page list stays empty.
Step 3 - Configure the plugin
The following customizable settings are available.
LinkedIn Page
Choose the Page to show. The list has every Page where you are a Super admin. To show more than one Page, add the plugin again for each.
Chart
The metric in the daily chart: Impressions, Clicks, Engagement Rate or New Followers. The default is Impressions.
Lookback Period
How many days the numbers and the chart cover: 7, 30 or 90. The default is 30.
Step 4 - You're done!
The full screen shows all eight numbers above the chart. Smaller layouts show less. Half horizontal shows Followers, Impressions and Engagement Rate beside the chart. Half vertical shows all eight numbers and no chart. A quadrant shows Followers, Impressions, Clicks and Engagement Rate.
Engagement Rate uses LinkedIn's formula: clicks, reactions, comments and shares, divided by impressions.
Troubleshooting
The LinkedIn Page list is empty.
The list shows only Pages where the connected account is a Super admin. Ask a Super admin of the Page to give you that role, or disconnect and connect with an account that has it.
"Select a LinkedIn Page in the plugin settings".
Choose a Page in the plugin settings and save.
The numbers do not match LinkedIn's own analytics.
TRMNL ends 2 days ago and counts each day in UTC, so its window can differ from the one LinkedIn shows you. Impressions, Clicks, Reactions, Comments and Shares count organic posts only, not ads. New Followers counts both.
The plugin settings say "Auto-refresh stopped".
Hover over the badge to read why. If the reason mentions a token or a refresh, your LinkedIn connection has ended. Disconnect, then click "Connect with LinkedIn" again.
"LinkedIn replied" and a number.
LinkedIn refused the request, and its reason follows the number. If you are no longer a Super admin of the Page, ask for that role again, then reconnect.
Stay focused.
